Booty Building Essentials
With so many opportunities to catch some rays, bikinis are the official uniform of summer. Don’t be afraid of some cheeky styles! We are here to help you perk up that peach with booty-building exercises and pharmaceutical grade collagen-based protein.
Sit on the floor with a bench at your back. Keep your feet planted and lean back onto the bench so the top half of your back is supported by the bench and your hips raise off the ground. Keep your legs a little wider than hip-width apart and point your toes out slightly.
Lift your hips off the ground until your knees, hips and shoulders form a straight line. Squeeze those glutes at the top!
Hold the bridge position for 5 seconds before easing back down. Repeat 10 times. ⠀
Want to take this movement to the next level? Add a barbell! Support the weight with your hips and fully engage your glutes to lift the heavier load. You should feel the burn in your booty! It helps to have a partner who can hand you the barbell once you are in position on the bench to avoid straining your back!
ProGlow STRONG + YOUTHFUL Collagen-Based Protein
The soreness you feel after exercise means your muscles experienced muscle damage during your workout. Don’t worry, that’s a good thing! In order for muscles to grow, they must first undergo stress during resistance training that causes micro-tears. Then, your body uses amino acids (the building blocks of protein) to repair and fortify the damaged muscles, making them stronger and bigger.
So, if you’re looking for booty gains, make sure you are fueling up properly post-workout to help repair and build strong muscles!
We recommend ProGlow Protein’s pharmaceutical grade Strong + Youthful. This pure collagen-based protein is what dreams are made of. A perfect blend of high protein collagen and collagen-specific amino acids, this winning formula strengthens muscles post-workout to maximize your #gains. As a bonus, the power of collagen helps improve joint health which prevents future injury. So whether you’re hitting the squat rack or grooving on the dance floor, you can “get low” with confidence!
Shoulder Sculpting Secret Weapons
The days of snuggling up inside cozy sweaters are behind us, and warm weather styles love to show off a little shoulder. Tank tops, halter tops and even strapless options are all fair game when the going gets hot! Kick up your confidence with strong, sculpted shoulders that take any bikini look to the next level.
Start in a neutral standing position, arms at your sides, palms facing inwards and a dumbbell in each hand. If you are new to lateral raises, start with dumbbells 5 lbs and under. This isolation movement will have you feeling the burn!
Keep your shoulders down away from your ears, engage your abs and bend your knees and elbows slightly.
Keep your posture strong as you lift the dumbbells out to the sides. When you reach shoulder height, stop and lower your arms back down in a slow and controlled fashion.
Repeat 10-12 times. Rest for one minute and repeat. Aim for 3-5 sets total.
Want to kick this exercise up a notch? Try holding one dumbbell out to the side at shoulder height in a static hold. With the other arm, lift and lower the other dumbbell 5 times. Then, switch! Hold the arm that was lifting straight out and static, and take a turn lifting and lowering the other arm 5 times. Repeat twice on both sides. Rest for one minute and repeat for 3 total sets.
ProGlow LEAN GAINS Amino Acid Complex
Remember the amino acids from earlier? Consider them your super sculpting BFFs. As the building blocks of protein, amino acids report for duty to repair and build your muscles after resistance training.
Branch chain amino acids allow you to bio-hack your body to make the most of your workouts and create lean, pretty and strong muscles. It’s important to note, food alone can’t do this! We are all about a healthy diet, but even the smartest diet can’t give you the muscle building super power that ProGlow Lean Gains can.
Not only does ProGlow Lean Gains build muscle, it also helps to reduce muscle breakdown during exercise and regulate protein metabolism throughout the body. That way, you can recover faster and never miss a workout.
Summer Six-Pack Hacks
Nothing ruins a tropical vacation quite like the dreaded belly bloat. While six-packs don’t happen overnight, the only way to get abs is by working for them! This means properly fueling and working your body to shred core muscles and shed any cushion covering them up. It also helps to get enough sleep and keep your stress in check to stay balanced and combat bloat!
Cross Mountain Climbers
Get into a push-up position with your arms straight and your body parallel to the ground. Keep a straight line from your head to your ankles and make sure your core is tight!
Bring your right knee towards your left shoulder in one controlled movement. Return to the starting position. Now, bring your left knee towards your right shoulder and return to starting position. Repeat this pairing 15 times.
Keep your core engaged and feel the twist in your obliques. Repeat the whole process 3 times through.
